Dorothy E. (Cribbs) McElfresh Games, 92, of Gilpin Township, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Quality Life Services-Sugar Creek in Worthington.
A daughter of the late Logan L. Cribbs and Goldie I. (Myers) Cribbs, she was born November 16, 1928 in Georgetown, PA.
Dorothy was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Leechburg. She enjoyed sewing and creating crafts. However, her passion could be found using her green thumb for flower gardening within her beautifully maintained yard. She was loved by many, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Gary A. McElfresh (Mary) of Mercer, PA; two daughters, Marcia R. Rady (Cargo “Ken”) of Leechburg, Cari L. Walker (Jim) of Washington, PA; three stepchildren, Doreen Kepple (Bob) of St. Paul, MN, Melinda Longworth (Fred) of St. Paul, MN, Mark R. Games (Sandy) of St. Paul, MN; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold M. Cribbs of Gilpin Township, PA; a sister, Lee Keagle of Kittanning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the two good men she married, her first husband, Loren P. McElfresh in 1961 and her second husband, Harry J. “Jim” Games in 2009; a daughter, Cheryl E. (McElfresh) Haigh; a son, Loren D. McElfresh; a step grandson, Brian Games; two brothers, Robert C. Cribbs, Logan L. Cribbs; and a sister, June Klingensmith.
We would like to extend special recognition and appreciation for the extensive efforts of Chris Mills and Sherry Marks for going above and beyond to meet our mother’s needs. The family would also like to thank Hayden Harvey for his kindness, hard work, and friendship during our mother’s extended time of need.
Friends will be welcomed by her family on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 111 Siberian Ave., Leechburg, followed immediately at noon by funeral ceremonies with Rev.
