Donald Walker, 86, of Gilpin Township, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Ross Memory Meadows in Gilpin Township surrounded by Ashley, Heather, and Jonathan.

A son of the late Irving Walker and Iva (Duck) Walker, he was born May 4, 1936, in New Kensington, PA.

Donald was employed as a cement mason with Cement Mason Local #526 for over 40 years before retiring in 1999.  He was of the protestant faith.  Donald was a veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially spending time at camp.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Edith (Mills) Walker of Gilpin Township; four sons, Donald Walker (Stella) of Rural Valley, Mark Mills (the late Joni Mills) of Allegheny Township, Randall Walker of Kittanning, and Lawrence Walker (Denise) of East Vandergrift; and numerous grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his son, William Walker (Joanne); daughter Lisa Walker; and his eight brothers and two sisters.

Friends will be welcomed by his family on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 11 a.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, with Chaplain Dave Chambers officiating.  Interment will be private.
