Donald G. Walker, 80, of Gilpin Township, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
A son of the late James H. Walker Sr. and Ella J. (McCutcheon) Lockwood, he was born May 5, 1940, in Arnold.
Donald moved to Chicago in 1956, and served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1962. He then lived in Knox, Indiana from 1969-2002 after which he moved back to Pennsylvania. He worked in various vocations across the U.S. and retired in 1999 from Bethlehem Steel in Burns Harbor, Indiana with 30 years of service. Donald was an avid square dancer and hunter who was best known for his big cowboy hat and boots and red Mustang.
Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Mary (Watt) Walker; a daughter, Mary Ann Stiner (Mike); grandchildren, Charles (Shauna), Shawna (Justin), Leeann, Jeremy, Emma; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert L. Walker (Deloris); two stepchildren, Cindy Walker (Thomas), Randy Louden (Roxanne); three step-grandchildren, Tara Malucci (Joe), Brody Walker (Jenna), Alison Rabickow (Chris); six step-great-grandchildren, Hayden, Logan, Charlotte, Evan, Ava, and Aleigha.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Ann (Wallen) Walker in 2001; a brother, James H. Walker Jr.; and a sister, Barbara A. (Walker) Green.
All arrangements were private and entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).
