Donald H. Lowman, 77, of Apollo, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in his residence.

A son of the late Thomas Lowman and Betty Beskid, he was born on March 22, 1948, in Home, PA.

Donald had been employed as a laborer by Allegheny Ludlum Steel in West Leechburg and Bagdad plants for 30 years before retiring.  He was of the Christian faith.  Donald was a gun enthusiast who enjoyed hunting and was a proud life member of the NRA. He had a love for Jeeps and watching old western movies, and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 54 years, Erma Elaine (Johns) Lowman of Apollo; and his three loving children, Dawn Marie Mellinger (Randy) of Hyde Park, Jason Lowman at home, and Michelle Dongiovanni (Aaron) of Vandergrift. Along with his pride and joys, grandchildren, Christopher Dongiovanni of Wisconsin, Matthew Dongiovanni of Greensburg, Emma Mellinger of Hyde Park, and his faithful dog, CME. A brother, Paul T. Lowman (Debi) of Homer City; a sister, Phyllis Leasure (James) of Cherry Tree; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be welcomed by his family on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg PA, 724-842-1051, where funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 30, with Pastor Dean Ward, officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
