Deborah A. Wanichko, 69, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla., with her husband and son by her side. A loving and devoted wife to her husband of 30 years, Gene Wanichko; mother to her son, Rick Claypool (Teresa DeFlitch); a stepdaughter, Lindsay Cramer (Derrick Cramer), and grandmother to her grandchildren, Silas Claypool, Carson Cramer, and Deacon Cramer. Debby will be deeply missed. 

Debby loved visiting the beach, walking her dogs, feeding birds and squirrels, enjoying good food with friends and family, and spending time with her grandson. She was a warm, energetic person with strong convictions, boundless curiosity, a creative streak, and an infectious sense of humor. Before retirement she worked for years as a lab technician for Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington and, later in life, UPMC. 

She was born Nov. 12, 1952, in Leechburg, a daughter of the late Steve and Sophie (Bilan) Sinka. She was preceded in death by her brothers Steve and Jon Sinka and is survived by siblings Joseph (Kathleen) Sinka and Carol (Larry) Boarts. She was a member of Crossroads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg. 

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies at 3:00 p.m. at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) with Pastor Gary Lyon officiating. Private entombment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
