Daniel W. McConville, 71, of Gilpin Township, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, in his residence.

A son of the late Arthur D. McConville and Genevieve G. (Parks) McConville, he was born October 5, 1954, in Natrona Heights, PA.

Dan had been employed as a production mechanic working at business locations for Joseph S. Finch Distillery in Schenley, Pennex in Plum and Daily’s Juice in Verona for over 20 years before retiring in 2017.  He loved gardening and being outdoors, especially at the river and his camp.  Dan could always be found lending a hand and helping others.  He enjoyed all computer-related things.  He was of the Catholic faith.  His memberships included the American Legion Post #775 in Schenley and the Gilpin Township Fire Dept. (where he was a life member).

He is survived by six siblings, John C. McConville (Michelle) of Gilpin Township, Michael G. McConville (Andrea) of Sheffield Village, Ohio, Robert J. McConville (Marykaren) of Gilpin Township, Phillip A. McConville of Gilpin Township, Patricia M. DeBiasio (Michael) of Jeannette, Martha M. Duncan of Allegheny Township; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and two great nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. McConville in 2014.

Friends will be welcomed by his family on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 4-6 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, followed by a Blessing service beginning at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Alan N. Polczynski officiating.  Private interment will be held at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township. 

In lieu of flowers, his family suggests donations in memory of Dan be made to the American Legion Post #775, 383 Schenley Road, Leechburg, PA 15656; or to the Gilpin Township Volunteer Fire Dept., 113 Firehall Road, Leechburg, PA 15656; or to the Lower Kiski Ambulance Service, 80 Kiski Avenue, Leechburg, PA 15656.
