Cynthia L. (Layo) Milanak, 71, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Independence Hospital in Butler.

A daughter of the late Henry Layo and Edith (Trusik) Layo, she was born on August 19, 1953, in Johnstown, PA.

Cindy had been employed as a bank teller for many years at numerous banks.  She was also the owner/operator of Rukas Beverage in Apollo.  She was of the Catholic faith.  Cindy loved going camping and traveling.  She enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling as pastimes.  Cindy’s unwavering devotion to her family was the cornerstone of everything she did.  Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the family holiday dinners.

Survivors include her son, Jeremy P. Matuscin of Vandergrift; her daughter, Amber N. Tepper (Jeff) of Glenshaw; grandchildren, Carson and Brianna Tepper; and siblings, Barry Layo (Veronica) of Portage, Troy Layo (Carol) of Portage, Sherry Weaver (Scott) of Ligonier, and Tammy Sendzik (Brian) of Portage; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Milanak; and a sister, Kimberly Layo.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, where additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of a Blessing service beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, with the Rev. Michael J. Sciberras officiating.  Private interment will be made at the convenience of the family.
