Obituary
Charlotte J. (Henry) McLaughlin, 75, of Tarentum, formerly of Gilpin Township, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, in her residence.
A daughter of the late Raymond Leroy Henry and Dorothy (Burns) Henry Phillippi, she was born March 1, 1948 in Gilpin Township, PA.
Charlotte was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, solving crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. For 20 years, she cleaned homes for families and took care of elderly people. She loved cats, especially her cat Ebbs, and absolutely loved the Lord!
Survivors include her children, Thomas L. Mills Jr. of Pittsburgh, Douglas E. “Buggs” Mills of Tarentum, Lisa Mills of Greensburg; her sisters, Joyce Rearick (Samuel) and Debbie Chapman (Rick); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Kenneth W. Phillippi; husband, Alfred H. “Gouch” McLaughlin in 2018; son, Kenneth M. McLaughlin; siblings, Raymond “Butch” Henry, Donald “Smokie” Henry, Larry Henry Sr., Constance McCullough, Stella Henry, Jim Henry, Brenda Newton.
Friends will be welcomed by her family on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 1 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, with Pastor Steven Rearick (her nephew) officiating. Interment will be follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Gilpin Township.
