Charles L. Steffan, 75, of Oil City, formerly of Leechburg, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, in his residence.

A son of the late Charles L. Steffan Sr. and Mary (Gasiorowski) Steffan, he was born in New Kensington, PA.

Charles graduated from Leechburg High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Charles began employment working with computers at 17 and had continual employment in the field including as a consultant with IT/Computer Tech in Pittsburgh for 40 years until his passing. He was a member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Township and volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol.  He enjoyed flying planes as a private pilot, riding motorcycles and working with electronics.

He is survived by a son, Stephen M. Steffan of Monroeville; and a brother, David M. Steffan (Bonnie) of Vandergrift.

Friends will be welcomed by his family on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, where Parting Prayers of Transfer will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 30.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Rd., Gilpin Township, with the Rev. Alan N. Polczynski as celebrant.  Interment will be held at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township.
