Carole Ann (Bone) Schantz, 84, of Hyde Park, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

A daughter of the late John Bone and Lilly (Barraclough) Bone, she was born on June 11, 1940, in Leechburg, PA

Carole was a 1958 graduate of Leechburg High School and a homemaker.  She was a member of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in Leechburg, where she participated in the Altar Guild, the church Vestry, and quilters group, as well as being a former organist.  Carole enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, walking and traveling.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Edward J. Schantz of Hyde Park; two sons, Russell A. Schantz of Hyde Park, Terry L. Schantz of Allegheny Township; four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Charles, Howard, and James Bone; and a sister, Ila Jean McCormick.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 366 Third St., Leechburg, with the Rev. Colleen Klingensmith as celebrant.  Entombment will follow at the Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum in Lower Burrell.
