Carol L. (Sinka) Boarts, 70, of Gilpin Township, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, at UPMC East Hospital in Monroeville.

A daughter of the late Steve Sinka and Sophie (Belone) Sinka, she was born September 26, 1955, in New Kensington, PA.

Carol had been employed as a lab technician at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh for 42 years before retiring in 2018.  She was a member of Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg.  Carol enjoyed cross-stitching as a hobby.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry D. Boarts of Gilpin Township; son, Joseph D. Boarts (Sarah) of Gulf Breeze, FL; daughter, Sarah S. Boarts of Pittsburgh; a grandson, Oliver Boarts; a brother, Joseph Sinka of Alabama; a sister, Debby Wanichiko (Gene) of Gulf Breeze, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Matthew D. Boarts; and brothers, Steve and John Sinka.
