Barbara A. (Miskinis) Wilken, 82, of Vandergrift, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Concordia at Fox Chapel.

A daughter of the late Charles Miskinis and Mary (Kolenchak) Miskinis, she was born January 20, 1942, in Leechburg, PA.

Barbara truly loved her employment as an office manager by Kiski Garden Plaza Center in Allegheny Township for 30 years before retiring in 2007.  She was also an amazing seamstress and artist with impeccable organizational skills.  She was of the Catholic faith.  Barbara enjoyed playing the Pennsylvania Lottery and scratch-off tickets, her many trips to the Rivers Casino and traveling to Las Vegas.  Her pastimes included sewing, coloring, and solving crossword puzzles. She took great pleasure in spending the majority of her time with her daughter, Melissa, and her granddog “Cooper James.”

Survivors include her loving daughter, Melissa Wilken of Vandergrift, her adoring son, Douglas Wilken, of Boston, Massachusetts, and son, Henry E. Wilken Jr. (Lisa) of Vandergrift; a grandson, Nathan Wilken; two brothers, Charles Miskinis of Leechburg, Ed Miskinis (Diana) of Rochester, NY; two sisters, Deborah Vargo (David) of Leechburg, Pam Sorisio (Rick) of Leechburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Henry E. Wilken Sr. in 2023.

Friends and family are welcome to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Christ The King Church, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Township with the Rev. Alan N. Polczynski as celebrant.  Interment will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
