Barbara A. (Gay) Stripling, 91, of Leechburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Adult Living at Rosebrook in Sarver.

A daughter of the late Ted Gay and Ernestine (Rentz) Gay, she was born March 24, 1934, in Beaufort, South Carolina.

Barbara had been employed in cafeteria food service at Kiski Area High School for over 30 years before retirement.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Barbara enjoyed crocheting, watching TV, solving Sudoku puzzles, playing Angry Birds on her iPad, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Ted H. Stripling (Barbara) of Lincolnton, GA, Leslie B. Stripling (Andrea) of Grovetown, GA, Steven W. Stripling (Lori) of North Augusta, SC, Angela Torrence (Richard) of Leechburg; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Ann Leach of Gilpin Township.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Stripling Jr.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, where funeral ceremonies will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Potter officiating.  Private interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
