Anna M. (Zubay) Troya, 97, of West Leechburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in her residence.

A daughter of the late John Zubay and Anna (Huska) Zubay, she was born on December 23, 1927, in Gilpin Township, PA.

Anna was a member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Township, and the former St. Martha Roman Catholic Church in Leechburg.  After her high school graduation, she worked as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone in Leechburg.  She had been employed as a cafeteria worker by the Leechburg Area School District for 20 years before retiring from there in 1989.  She was a member of the West Leechburg V.F.D. Ladies Auxiliary and Jednota member for many decades.  Anna enjoyed crotcheting, gardening, and playing cards with her high school girlfriends.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Dominic O. “Babe” Troya of West Leechburg; sons, D. Michael Troya of West Leechburg, Joseph S. Troya (Andrea) of Washington Township; daughters, Anne F. Troya of West Leechburg, Michelle Kalish (Charles) of Polk; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister; and brothers, Joseph, John, Frank and Steve Zubay.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051 where Parting Prayers of Transfer will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 3, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Rd., Leechburg, with the Rev. Alan N. Polczynski as celebrant.  Private interment will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township.
