Anna Mae Klingensmith, 95, formerly of Ford City, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Concordia in Cabot.
A daughter of the late Bert C. Klingensmith and Lucille (Spang) Klingensmith, she was born January 25, 1927 in Vandergrift.
Anna Mae was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was involved on the church council, and was an officer in the Von Bora Lutheran organization. Anna Mae was a lifetime member of the Lenape golf course, and enjoyed golfing in her free time. She was a volunteer at the Kittanning Care Center, as well as being active in the Silver Star Rebecca Lodge. Anna Mae enjoyed bowling, quilting, crocheting, and making candy.
Survivors include two sons, Richard E. Klingensmith (Kathy) of Haslett, MI, Bruce Klingensmith (Christine) of Anita, PA; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, L. Clair Klingensmith (Carroll) of Alpharetta, GA; a sister, Elma Shields (James) of Blairsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Eugene “Gene” Klingensmith; a brother, Franklin D. Klingensmith; and a sister, Eleanor Galbraith.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date. Interment will be held at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Bethel Township. The Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051 has been entrusted with private arrangements.
