Ann Bash, 100, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Pleasant Ridge Mature Living in Allegheny Township.
A daughter of the late Samuel Schwartz and Laura (Browarsky) Schwartz, she was born January 8, 1921, in Columbus, Ohio.
Ann served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leechburg and the American Legion Auxiliary for 39 years. Ann had worked at several businesses throughout her career, including H&R Block as an office manager for over 30 years, Wyble’s Pharmacy in the surgical dept. for 13 years, Klingensmith’s Pharmacy as a clerk for 7 years and Malcolm’s in Vandergrift as a seamstress. She enjoyed being a seamstress and the hobby of craftmaking.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Bash (Nancy) of Apollo, John Bash (Joyce) of Allegheny Township, Danny Bash (Janet) of Allegheny Township; a daughter, Debbie Lynn Allman of Apollo; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-granchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bash in 2001; a daughter, Marcia Prunty; sons-in-law, John Allman and Allen Prunty; and a great-grandson.
Friends will be welcomed by her family on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) where funeral ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, with Pastor Jonathan Potter officiating. Interment following at Riverview Cemetery, 717 Highland Ave., Apollo.
