Alice M. (Notarnicola) Lookabaugh

Alice (Notarnicola) Lookabaugh, 96, formerly of Leechburg, passed away peacefully due to complications from Covid-19 on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, PA, where she was a resident for the past 7 ½ years.

Born September 22, 1924 in Vandergrift, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Bruno) Notarnicola from Noci, Province of Bari, Italy.

She was a member of Christ The King Parish in Gilpin Township.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merle S. Lookabaugh, Sr., who passed away on June 15, 2006; brothers, Vito and Donald Notarnicola; sisters, Annie Corsi and Angeline Simon.

Alice is survived by her son, Merle (Kathy) Lookabaugh of Parrish, Florida; Daughters, Jennifer (Richard Albert) Wright of Leechburg, PA, and Lorraine Azzarone of Natrona Heights, PA; grandchildren, Kevin (Jennifer) Wright of Murrysville, PA, Jaclyn (Johnathon Jones) Wright of South Park, PA, Brad (Megan) Lookabaugh of Oakland, California, and Tara (Matt Coleman) Lookabaugh of Hermosa Beach, California; and twin great-granddaughters, Natalie Anne and Nicole Elizabeth Wright of Murrysville, PA.

Alice enjoyed sports of all kinds.  She was an avid Spectator at many Leechburg sporting events, enjoyed watching the Steelers, Pirates and golf, especially Tiger Woods.  She also enjoyed playing the daily number and instant scratch-offs, gambling at casinos, and was part of a bowling league for over 40 years.  You would see her working in her meticulous yard or walking up and down the hill during any kind of weather.

Because of the pandemic, service and burial will be private.  Interment will be at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Concordia Lutheran Ministries at CLM Foundation, 134 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA 16023; or to give.concordialm.org.
