Aleda G. (Gallino) Favero

Aleda (Gallino) Favero, 98, of Leechburg, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at Kittanning Care Center.

A daughter of the late Antonio Gallino and Julia (Roberi) Gallino, she was born January 14, 1924 in Leechburg, PA.

Aleda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was fond of being a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson, A.J.  She was a 1941 graduate of Leechburg High School and the New Kensington Commercial School.  She had been employed at the former Fiori Pharmacy in Leechburg from 1941-1945 and later working at the former Querio Motor Sales in Leechburg from 1945-1956.  Aleda was a member of Christ The King Parish in Gilpin Township, the Daughters of Italy, the Marconi Club Ladies’ Auxiliary, and the former Leechburg Business & Professional Women.  She enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her son, James A. Favero (Antoinette) of Leechburg; a grandson, Anthony “A.J.” Favero (Amanda); two great-grandsons, Jay and Emmett Favero.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bart J. Favero in 2012; a brother, Joseph Gallino; two sisters, Angela Gallino and Mary M. Catalino.

Her family would like to extend special thank yous to the Amedisys Hospice nurses and the staff at the Kittanning Care Center.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at Christ The King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Township.  A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow visitation at the church with the Rev. James H. Loew, O.S.B. as celebrant.  Interment following at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township.  The Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051 has been entrusted with arrangements.
