Albert C. “Peep” Anthony, 87, of Allegheny Township, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Concordia Health & Human Care in Cabot, PA.
A son of the late William G. Anthony and Loretta M. (Zimmerly) Anthony, he was born February 8, 1934 in Natrona Heights, PA.
Albert was a 1954 graduate of Vandergrift High School. He was also a member of the USWA of Leechburg, as well as the Leechburg branch of the Masonic Lodge. Albert was a U.S. Army veteran, as well as a member of the First Methodist Church in Leechburg. He was an avid square dancer, often traveling around with his wife to different dance locations. Albert also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time teaching his grandchildren different skills and hobbies.
Survivors include three sons, Gail “Trooper” Anthony (Kathleen) of Allegheny Township, William D. Anthony (Linda) of Kettering, OH, Dale D. Anthony of Allegheny Township; five grandchildren, Brad Anthony, Eric Anthony, Billy Anthony, Stephanie Reich, Amber Eddy; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ida M. (Lockard) Anthony; and a sister, Elva “Sis” Smith.
Private family viewing and funeral ceremonies have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051). In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Greater Pittsburgh Chapter), 1100 Liberty Avenue Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
