Ruth E. (Hall) Fitzgerald, 80, of Washington Twp. (Apollo), PA, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
A daughter of the late Henry C. Hall and Wilma (Bush) Hall, she was born October 8, 1937 in Leechburg, PA.
Ruth had been employed as a head teller with PNC Bank in Freeport for 17 years before retiring in 1999. She was a member of Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg, where she was very active and a former member of the Eastern Star. Ruth enjoyed flower gardening, baking, bowling and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Edward P. Fitzgerald of Washington Twp., PA; her daughter, Laurie K. (Fitzgerald) Clemens (Roy) of Moon Twp., PA; two grandsons, Ryan Fitzgerald Clemens and Nicholas James Clemens; a sister-in-law, Maxine Hall of Gilpin Twp., PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Hall.
A private family visitation will be held at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) followed by interment at Greenwood Mausoleum in Lower Burrell.
Friends and family are welcome to attend her Memorial Service to be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, 271 Main Street, Leechburg, with the Rev. Gary J. Lyon officiating.
