Rosalie Claire (Berenson) Vogel, 84 of Freeport, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018.
A daughter of the late Ben and Anna (Musco) Berenson, she was born June 24, 1933 in Natrona Heights, PA.
Rosalie had previously been employed as a manager with both the Gee Bee Dept. Store in Natrona Heights and Gold Circle in New Kensington. Later she became a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Natrona Heights. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Natrona Heights, the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the South Buffalo Volunteer Fire Dept., the Ladies’ Guild at Grace Church for several years and a card club for a number of years. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, especially attending family events, going out to eat and trying new foods, cooking, baking, doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and watching her TV shows.
Survivors include a son, Richard D. Vogel (Jonnette) of Irwin, PA; son-in-law, Terry M. Woitas of Freeport, PA; a daughter, Terry L. Tomayko (Tim) of Freeport, PA; seven grandchildren: Stephanie Walsh (Steven), Richelle Sasala (Dave), Heather Kramer (Kris), Tim Tomayko Jr. (Lina), Nicole Micholas (Kory), Michael Woitas (Andrea Ferko), Danielle Woitas and Taylor Hochbein (who she considered her grandchild); six great-grandchildren: Triston Sasala, Garrett Kramer, Mason Sasala, James Kramer, Avery Sasala, Becca Kramer; three brothers, Jack Berenson of Natrona Heights, PA, Phillip Berenson (Pam) of Wichita, KS, and William Berenson (Cindy) of Natrona Heights, PA; numerous other family members; and her beloved dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Vogel; and a daughter, Debra L. Woitas.
Friends are welcomed by her family on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 1:30 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) with the Reverend James V. Arter III officiating. Interment following at Mt. Airy Memorial Cemetery, 2800 Freeport Rd., Natrona Heights.
