R. Lucille (Schaeffer) Kalmar

R. Lucille (Schaeffer) Kalmar, 102, of Gilpin Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Quality Life Services (West Haven Manor) in Washington Twp.

A daughter of the late Ward Schaeffer and Myrtle (Bouch) Schaeffer, she was born July 22, 1916 in Kelly Station (Bethel Twp.), PA.

Lucille was a homemaker and member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Bethel Twp.

Survivors include her sister, Marie Wagner (Dwayne “Bud”) of Bethel Twp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gaza L. Kalmar in 1987; two brothers, Ward and Kenneth L. Schaeffer; and a sister, Margaret Klingensmith.

Friends welcomed by her family on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2-4 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).  Additional visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Barbara Love officiating.  Interment following at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Bethel Twp., Ford City.
