Michael J. “Mike” Wasyluk, 94, of West Leechburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville.

A son of the late Charles Wasyluk and Stella (Kostecki) Wasyluk, he was born October 5, 1923, in Braeburn, PA.

Mike had worked as a rigger in the Maintenance Dept. for the Allegheny Ludlum West Leechburg Works for 25 years before retiring in 1971.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a Private First Class during World War II and received two Bronze Stars.  He was a member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Twp., the  United Steel Workers of America Union Local #1138 in Leechburg, and a 50-year member of the West Leechburg Fire Dept.  He enjoyed traveling and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Survivors include his brother, Peter Wasyluk (Helen) of West Leechburg, PA; nephew, David Wasyluk (Lori) of Ohio; niece, Lori Kushik (Mark) of Cranberry, PA; nephews, Richard Tokarek (Tina), John Corcetti (Faye), Charles Corcetti; and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara L. (Ripoli) Wasyluk on September 3, 2010; and two sisters, Ann Tokarek and Nell Corcetti.

Friends welcomed by his family on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 9-11 AM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) with Parting Prayers of Transfer at 11:15 AM at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Noon at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Twp., with the Reverend Arnel Estrella officiating.  Entombment following at Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, 104 Melwood Rd., Lower Burrell.
