Lucy C. (Arduino) Skura

Lucy C. (Arduino) Skura, 94, of West Leechburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at West Haven Personal Care Home in Washington Twp.

A daughter of the late Giacomo Arduino and Mary (Perona) Arudino, she was born December 26, 1924 in Vandergrift, PA.

Lucy was a 1942 graduate of Vandergrift High School.  She had been employed as a clerk with Leechburg Pharmacy for 17 years before retiring in 1996.  Lucy was a former member of St. Martha R.C. Church in Leechburg and member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Twp. as well as the West Leechburg Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary.

Survivors include her son, Glenn Skura (Roseann) of Leechburg; her daughter, Anita Fotheringham of Ford City; two grandchildren, Amanda Skura and Sam Fotheringham; and a great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Skura in 1988; six brothers: Antonio, Robert, Frank, John, Joseph and Pete Arduino; four sisters: Angeline “Lillian” Gallucci, Marie Iagnemmo, Julia Zanolli and Teressa Bellon.

There will be no public visitation.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 12, at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Twp., with the Rev. James H. Loew, O.S.B. officiating.  Interment following at St. Catherine Cemetery, 614 Evergreen Road, Gilpin Twp.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Leechburg Food Bank, c/o Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, 271 Main St., Leechburg, PA 15656. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).
