Lois F. (Grantz) Walsh

Lois F. (Grantz) Walsh, 81, of Allegheny Twp., PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Quality Life Services (West Haven Manor) in Washington Twp.

A daughter of the late James Everett Grantz and Ethel Mercedes (Shirey) Grantz, she was born August 10, 1936, in Hyde Park, PA.

Lois was a 1954 graduate of Leechburg High School.  She had worked as a bookkeeper for National City Bank in Vandergrift for 16 years before retiring in 1973.  Lois was a member of the Kiski Valley Presbyterian Church in Allegheny Twp. and former member of the United Methodist Church in Vandergrift where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of WIC (Women of the Church).  She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, traveling, working in the yard and reading the Bible and “Our Daily Bread” publication.

Survivors include her brother, Paul E. Grantz (Patricia) of West Leechburg, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Walsh in July 2000; and an infant brother, James B. Grantz.

Friends welcomed by her family on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of ceremonies at 11 AM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) with Pastor Luke Bloom officiating.  Interment following at Riverview Cemetery, 717 Highland Ave., Apollo.
