Jeffrey A. McLaughlin, 53, of Allegheny Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 in his residence.

A son of the Alfred Howard “Gouch” McLaughlin and the late Shirley M. (Berry) McGuire, he was born February16, 1964, in New Kensington, PA.

Jeff was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Charlotte (Henry) McLaughlin of Tarentum, PA; his son, Zachary Shane McLaughlin of Middleburg, PA; his daughter, Heidi Ann McLaughlin of Waynesboro, PA; his sister, Laura Lewis (Randy) of Leechburg, PA; brothers, James McLaughlin (Tracy McCartney) of Maryland, Tim McLaughlin (Angela) of New Jersey, Alfred “Butch” McLaughlin of Leechburg, PA, Doug McLaughlin of Leechburg, PA, Bob McLaughlin of Vandergrift, PA; stepsister, Lori Bottles of Vandergrift, PA; stepbrothers, James “Andy” McGuire (Bobbi) of Natrona Heights, PA, and Doug Mills of Tarentum, PA; his fiancé Denise L. McGuire of Allegheny Twp., PA; his stepchildren, Jordan Tressler of Tarentum, PA, Ashley Kendall of Leechburg, PA, Courtney Kendall of Allegheny Twp., PA;  numerous nieces and nephews; a great-niece; and a great-nephew.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father, James R. McGuire; and a brother, Kenneth McLaughlin.

There will be no public visitation.  Ceremonies and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
