Gail R. (Rudert) Peyronel

Gail (Rudert) Peyronel, 83, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

A daughter of the late Leroy Rudert and Eleanor (Hindman) McClay, she was born March 23, 1934 in Saxonburg, PA.

Gail was a graduate of Butler High School and member of Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg.  At one time, she had been employed as a payroll clerk with Schenley Distilleries;  then later became a beloved childcare provider for many families in the Leechburg area.  Gail was an avid reader, with a quick wit, who enjoyed challenging crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy! and visiting her cousin in Tampa, Florida every year.  She was artistic; she loved drawing, knitting, crosstitching and adult coloring, making beautiful creations to give to family and friends.  Gail loved all children, especially her own children and grandchildren and the Brady children.

Survivors include her three daughters, Candi Stewart of Leechburg, PA, Lisa Yank (Richard) of Lower Burrell, PA, Debra Mercer (Ed) of Erie, PA; seven grandchildren, Justin, Amy and Jay Stewart (Melissa Bugay), Lindsay Croce (Michael), Louis Yank, Ben Mercer (Amber Hall), Averi Mercer; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael Rudert of Sacramento, California; friend and cousin, Linda Carroll of Tampa, FL; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and her “second family” the Bradys of Leechburg, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Richard Peyronel who passed on October 8, 1980.

Friends welcomed by her family on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 12:30 PM until the time of services at 2 PM at Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, 271 Main Street, Leechburg with the Reverend Gary J. Lyon and the Reverend Lisa Lyon co-officiating.  Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).  Condolences to the Peyronel family may be offered at www.clawsonfuneralhome.com.
