Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamonds on the snow... I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain... When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die. - Jane Ormes

There are no adequate words to express what Gram meant to us. To me. She was unfailingly kind. She was funny and sassy. Rarely cursed. Even more rarely off color. She loved animals. She was never ashamed to show her emotions. She was strong. She was soft. She was never afraid to love. I've been missing her for a few months now as I watched her decline. I've missed our talks. I could tell her anything. She gave her opinion without judgement. She taught us what healthy relationships should be. She was incredible and I will miss her terribly. Knowing she is without pain and fear is a blessing but the selfish part of me wishes I could just pick up the phone and call her. I want her to ask me if I was "cruisin' for a bruisin'" or if she was gonna have to kick my butt up between my ears. I want her to make her amazing taco dip again. I want to tell her how amazing she is and how much I love her. I hope she knows how much we ALL love her. 💕
