Elsie (Nigra) Hobbins, 95, of Hyde Park, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.

A daughter of the late Louis Nigra and Theresa (Ponzetta) Nigra, she was born March 16, 1922, in Hyde Park, PA.

Elsie was a homemaker and member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Twp.  She enjoyed knitting and crotcheting.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Kettering (Charles) of Leechburg, PA; and two grandchildren, Michele Dougherty (Alex) and Michael Kettering.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hobbins in 1972; and two sisters, Mary Sack and Jennie Nigra.

Friends welcomed by her family on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).  Parting Prayers of Transfer will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, May 20, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Twp., with the Reverend Ronald Cyktor officiating.  Interment following at St. Catherine Cemetery, 614 Evergreen Road, Gilpin Twp.
