Betty L. (Gamble) Lucjak, 89, of Gilpin Twp., PA, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Pleasant Ridge Mature Living Personal Care Home.

A daughter of the late Robert T. Gamble and Margaret C. (Burger) Gamble, she was born February 3, 1928, in Lucesco (Allegheny Twp.), PA.

Betty was a 1946 graduate of Har Brack High School.  She had worked as a nurses’ aide with Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington for 24 years before retiring in 1990.  Betty enjoyed playing her violin, flower gardening, hunting, fishing, doing pastel portraits, taxidermy, knitting and woodworking.

Survivors include two sons, Anthony Lucjack of Leechburg, PA; Alan Lucjak (Patti) of Kiski Twp., PA; a daughter, Ruth Herman of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Gamble of Apollo, PA; two sisters, Karen Walker of Lower Burrell, PA, and Roberta “Bobbi” Schofield of York, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam J. Lucjak Sr. on February 13, 2003; a son, Adam Lucjak Jr.; and a daughter, Priscilla Myers.

Friends welcomed by her family on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) where funeral ceremonies will be begin at 8:00 PM following visitation with the Reverend Lora Kline officiating.  Interment will be held at St. Catherine Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
