Wendell D. Hamilton, 54, of Allegheny Township, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 in Sigel, PA.

The son of Gerald Hamilton and the late Nancy Jo (Schottenheimer) Hamilton who passed away June 13, 2016, he was born on July 22, 1961, in New Kensington, PA.

Wendell was employed as a custodian with the Kiski Area School District for 24 years.  He was a member of the former Hope Lutheran Church in Hyde Park.  He was an avid Steelers fan who enjoyed attending their games.  Wendell liked gardening, model trains and animals, especially his sister’s dogs Dudley and Sadie.

Survivors include his father, Gerald Hamilton of Allegheny Twp., PA; his brother, Randy S. Hamilton of Allegheny Twp., PA; his sister, Melody S. Peterman (Douglas) of Hyde Park, PA; and his aunt, Sally Games of Leechburg, PA.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Friends welcomed by his family on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) where funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 AM on Friday with the Reverend Gary J. Lyon officiating.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
