Veronica P. (Cambal) Piecka, 98, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017.

A daughter of the late Andrew Cambal and Mary (Czmarik) Cambal, she was born November 25, 1918, in Arnold, PA.

Veronica was a homemaker and member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Twp. and the former St. Martha’s Roman Catholic Church in Leechburg.  She was also a member of St. Anne’s Guild, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Jednota.  Veronica was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan who liked baking and cooking.  She had still been very active with the cooking and baking for her church’s functions.  Veronica enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and their friends, who fondly nick-named her the “Party Gram.”

Survivors include her son, Albert (Carol) Piecka Jr. of East Wenatchee, WA; her daughter, Bernadette (Edward) Bloch of Lower Burrell, PA; four grandchildren, Wendy Piecka, Jody (Jesse) Suiter, Michele Bloch and Jeffrey Piecka; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert B. Piecka Sr. in 1990; a brother, Andrew Cambal; and three sisters, Frances Dubovi, Margaret Sutorka and Johanna Knapek.

Friends welcomed by her family on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).  Parting Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:15 AM on Thursday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Twp., with the Msgr. Larry J. Kulick officiating.  Interment following at St. Catherine Cemetery, 614 Evergreen Road, Gilpin Twp.  Veronica’s family would like to thank Allegheny Home Hospice for their tender care.
