Theodore “Ted” Nawrocki, 85, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, PA.

A son of the late Stanislaw Nawrocki and Maryianna (Urbanski) Nawrocki, he was born on August 4, 1930, in Vandergrift, PA.

Ted was a 1948 graduate of Vandergrift High School.  For over 42 years, he worked as an instrument repairman at the West Leechburg Works of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. retiring in 1991.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.  Ted was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg, the Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company, the Armstrong County Fireman’s Association, the Western Pennsylvania Fireman’s Assocaition, the L.O.O.M. and Elks in Leechburg, the American Legion in Schenley, PA, the Retirees of the United Steel Workers’ of America, Leechburg, and the Allegheny Ludlum Bowling League.  He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Leechburg.  Ted enjoyed bowling and doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Nancy L. (Crawford) Nawrocki of Leechburg, PA; his son, Leland B. “L.B.” Nawrocki of Bethel Township, PA; two daughters, Andrea Beth Shaner of Springfield, GA, Adriene Elise (Nawrocki) Richardson (Dan) of Pahoa, HI; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Nawrocki of White Plains, NY; and a sister Stella Palermo of Vandergrift, PA.

In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Alicia C. Nawrocki on January 9, 2008; four brothers and a sister.

Per Ted’s request, there will be no public visitation.  Funeral ceremonies will be held at the convenience of the family at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) with the Rev. James V. Arter III officiating.  Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Gilpin Twp.  Memorials donations may be made in his memory to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg or to the donor’s choice.
