Phyllis Delfine (DeBernardi) Carroll, 99, of Wheatland, PA, formerly of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Saint John XXIII Home in Hermitage, PA.

A daughter of the late James DeBernardi and Mary (Papurello) DeBernardi, she was born August 27, 1917, in Aladdin (Armstrong County), PA.

Phyllis was a former member of Assumption R.C. Church in Gilpin Twp.  For 55 years, she provided personal care for her family and people in the private sector before retiring in 1980.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, William Carroll of Leechburg, PA; two daughters, Patricia Lewis (Thomas) of Wheatland, PA and Vonna Scoggins (James) of Clermont, FL; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Anthony DeBernardi of Florida and Domenic DeBernardi of Hyde Park, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Carroll on March 4, 1998; a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis & James Peyronel; a sister, Mary Wilken; and a brother, Henry DeBernardi.

Friends welcomed by her family on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 3-6 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).  Parting Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, June 7, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Twp., with the Reverend Ronald Cyktor officiating.  Interment following at St. Catherine Cemetery, 614 Evergreen Road, Gilpin Twp. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. Station Square Dr. #1900, Pittsburgh, PA  15219.
