Mary B. (Bosso) Venturini, 88, of West Leechburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in her son’s residence surrounded by her loving family.

A daughter of the late John Bosso and Jennie (Zito) Bosso, she was born October 3, 1928, in New Kensington, PA.

Mary was a homemaker and graduate of the old Ken-Hi High School in New Kensington.  She had been employed in the Wear-Ever Dept. of Alcoa, the Leechburg School District as a cafeteria lunch monitor, and for the Philadelphia Store in Leechburg.  She was a member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Twp.  Mary enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and all Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers and Pirates.  She treasured spending time with her family particularly at the Gilpin Camp along the Allegheny River. Mary and her husband Dean delighted in dancing to the Joe Alise and Dick Tady Bands and all the Bagna Calda parties at their camp with the Dick Tady Fan Club, other friends and family members.

Survivors include her son, Mark D. Venturini (Kathleen) of Monroeville, PA; two daughters, Jeanine M. Bono of Leechburg, PA, Diane Holmes (Tim) of Monroeville, PA; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Frances Jean Balenciaga of Plum Boro, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean L. Venturini on February 10, 2002; a brother, Joseph Bosso; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary (Ruggeri) and Louis Venturini.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).  Parting Prayers of Transfer will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Twp., with the Reverend Ronald Cyktor officiating.  Entombment following at Greenwood Mausoleum, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
