Martha J. (Ashbaugh) Bafik, 92, of Allegheny Twp., PA, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Elmcroft at Saxonburg.

A daughter of the late Albert Ashbaugh and Margaret (Hopkins) Ashbaugh, she was born August 28, 1924, in Leechburg, PA.

Martha had been employed as a secretary for Alcoa (New Kensington, PA) and as an inspector with Allegheny Ludlum before retiring.  She was a member of the Monday Evening Club in Leechburg and the First United Methodist Church in Leechburg where she participated in the church choir, Fidelas Class and Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her two sons, Dan Bafik (Anita) of Avonmore, PA, and David Bafik of Upper Burrell, PA; three grandchildren, Brenna DeCarlo (Tom) of New Jersey, Kris Bafik (Mia) of Murrysville, PA, Amber Bafik of Bridgeville, PA; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John S. Bafik who died on June 3, 2012; and two brothers, Edwin and Richard Ashbaugh.

Friends welcomed by her family on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) where funeral ceremonies will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday with the Reverend Jerrad R. Peterman officiating.  Interment following at Evergreen Cemetery, 620 Evergreen Road, Gilpin Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, 533 Linden Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068.
