Kenneth W. Belles, 69, of Mercer, PA, formerly of Leechburg, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Grove City Medical Center.

A son of the late George W. Belles and Philomena E. (Marranconi) Belles, he was born September 22, 1947, in Meadville, PA.

Kenneth was a employed as an information technologist for I.D. Point in Washington State for 10 years before retiring in 2012.  He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and was a member of the VFW of Leechburg.  Kenneth was a 1966 Graduate of Leechburg High School where he played on the high school football team, a football coach at North Catholic High School, a coach of midget football in the Pittsburgh area and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  He enjoyed playing golf, playing pool, fishing in Canada, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 6 years, Valerie E. (Andre) Grandy Belles, previously living in Arizona and for the past six years in Mercer, PA; two sons, Trevor Halbert (Laura) of Bramer, NJ; Kenneth W. Belles Jr. of Mesa, AZ; a daughter, Rita D. Williams (Tracey) of Raleigh, NC; three stepsons, William R. Grandy (Tammie) of Mercer, PA, Jack J. Grandy (Jen) of Minnesota, Shane T. Grandy (Patty) of Grove City, PA; two stepdaughters, Bettyann Owens (Keith) of Hartstown, PA, Susan R. Davis (Danny) of Grove City, PA; and 17 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Carlo S. Belles; and his sister, Georgann Marie Thomas.

Friends welcomed by his family on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 4 PM until the time of funeral ceremonies at 7 PM at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) with the Reverend Raphael Glinkowski, O.S.P.P.E. officiating.
