Joyce (Ward) McLanahan, 92, of Oakmont, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Westminster Presbyterian Senior Living in Oakmont.

A daughter of the late William Henry Ward and Edna (Trumbull) Ward, she was born June 23, 1924 in Johnsonburg, PA, Elk County.

Joyce was a homemaker and 1942 graduate of Johnsonburg High School.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Leechburg and the Order of the Eastern Star in Freeport.  Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Pam Carlson (Rich) of Suwanee, GA; five grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Cheryl Tench (Don) of Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. McLanahan, who died on May 25, 2013; a daughter, Prudence Pierce; a sister, Marilyn Shaffer; three brothers, Robert, Jack and Gene Ward.

There will be no visitation or funeral ceremonies.  Interment will be made at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell.
