John L. Rehak, 85, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, PA.

A son of the late John S. Rehak Jr. and Marie (Querio) Rehak, he was born July 19, 1931, in Leechburg, PA.

John was of the Catholic faith and member of the Leechburg Volunteer Fire Dept. for over 50 years.  He had been employed by U.P.S.  John enjoyed traveling with his wife Sylvia and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sylvia L. (Kaleda) Rehak of Leechburg, PA; a son, Larry Rehak (Peggy) of Hardy, Virginia; four daughters, Nancy Filloy (Joe) of Monroeville, PA, Linda Rehak (Don McClintic) of Midlothian, Virginia, Janie Bertieri (David) of Natrona Heights, PA, Lisa Rehak of Denver, CO; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Rehak of Oregon and Dan Rehak of Pittsburgh, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a beloved granddaughter, Amy Kelvington; and an infant sister.

Friends welcomed by his family on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 10 AM until 11 AM, the time of his memorial service, at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) with the Reverend Gary J. Lyon officiating.  Interment following at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Twp.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company, 268 Canal Street, Leechburg, PA 15656.
