John B. Bopp, 88, of Gilpin Twp., PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Pleasant Ridge Mature Living in Allegheny Township.
A son of the late John Franklin Bopp and Nancy (Shaner) Bopp, he was born April 17, 1929, in Gilpin Twp., PA.
John was employed as a truck driver with Allegheny Ludlum for over 40 years. He was a member of the Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg, the Vandergrift Motorcycle Club and the American Motorcycle Association. John loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed working on his cars, trucks and motorcycles as well as spending time with his dogs and cats.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Shaffer of Allegheny Twp., PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Smail and Nancy Lingenfelter; and nephew, Russell Smail.
At his family’s request, visitation and funeral ceremonies will be private at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051). Interment will be made at Evergreen Cemetery in Gilpin Twp.
