John Michael Black, 64, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016, in his residence.

Born December 31, 1951, in Leechburg, PA, he was the son of the late John Robert and Margaret Ellen (Lynch) Black.

John was employed for over 30 years, as a Store Room Clerk and Lineman, for West Penn Power, Arnold, PA, before retiring in 2009. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. John was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the Schenley American Legion Post 775, where he was an officer. He enjoyed gardening, camping, working on his house, helping neighbors and being a handyman.

Survivors include son, Sean M. Black, of Etna, PA; daughter, Sheena L. Black, of Kittanning, PA; grandson, Jeht Michael Black; and brother, Robert Black (Beckie), of Leechburg, PA.

At Mr. Black's request, there will be no public visitation or ceremonies. Interment will be made at the convenience of his family at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068.
