James Zanotti Obituary

James A. Zanotti, 95, of Hyde Park, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Quality Life Services (West Haven Manor) in Washington Twp.

 

A son of the late Charles Zanotti and Marie Louise (Cuffia) Zanotti, he was born August 20, 1922 in Hyde Park, PA.

 

James was a World War II veteran having served in the European Theatre as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army.  For 25 years, he was employed as a molder’s helper at the Hyde Park Foundry before retiring in 1984.  James was a former member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Hyde Park and had attended the Murrysville Alliance Church.  He enjoyed music, playing the fiddle, banjo, guitar and accordion.

 

Survivors include his two sons, James C. Zanotti (Patty Jo) of Allegheny Twp., PA, Victor Zanotti (Diane) of Olathe, Colorado; three grandchildren, Eric Zanotti, Jason Zanotti (Tina), Jessica Zanotti (Jerry Larson); four great-grandchildren, William Zanotti, Sawyar Zanotti, Maja Zanotti and Phoebe Murrie (Chase); two step great-grandchildren, Tabitha and Alec Jacob; and two step great-great-grandchildren, Maddelyn and Niriah.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Booher) Zanotti; a son, William Zanotti; and two brothers, Louis and Victor Zanotti.

 

There will be no public visitation or funeral ceremonies.  Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of James may be made to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, 533 Linden Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068.
