Gordan L. Steighner, 77, of Gilpin Township, PA, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, PA.

Born June 23, 1938, in Butler, PA.

Gordan was self-employed for over 40 years as a carpet installer before retiring in 2000. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Gordan was of Presbyterian faith, enjoyed cutting grass, gardening, collecting matchbox cars and miniature whiskey bottles, tending to his rose garden, watching deer and birds in his yard and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

Survivors include his wife, of 35 years, Blodwen L. (Watkins) Steighner, of Gilpin Township, PA; a daughter, Trish Young, of Ford City, PA; a brother, Paul Steighner (Dorothy), of Saxonburg, PA; numerous granchildren and great grandchildren; a stepson; and numerous step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gordan L. Steighner; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Friends welcomed by his family on Monday from 4-6 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724/842-1051) where funeral ceremonies will be held at 6 PM, with the Rev. Cherrie Andres officiating. Interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068.
