George P. Wright, 67, of Gilpin Township, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015, in Platinum Ridge Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, Brackenridge, PA.

Born July 5, 1948, in Natrona Heights, PA, he was the son of the late George L. "Ben" and Geraldine "Gerry" (Ashbaugh) Wright.

George was a 1966 graduate of Leechburg Area High School; a member of the First United Methodist Church, Leechburg, PA; a member of the Leechburg Marconi Club, where he was a member of the bocce league; and a member of the NRA.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing word search puzzles, and watching television.  George was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and Penn State University football fan.  He was employed as a technician for over 12 years with Gordon's TV, Vandergrift, PA, and also, employed by Dan's TV and Appliance, Leechburg, PA.

Survivors include his sister, Lynn D. Haught (Darwin), of Alaska; his special aunts and caregivers, Betty Leap, Vandergrift, PA and Marjorie Anto, of Leechburg, PA; his special friend, Albino Odasso, of Gilpin Township, PA; and numerous cousins and several other aunts and uncles.
