Dorothy J. (Wittik) Pityk, 81, of West Leechburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice Cabot Inpatient Unit at Concordia, Jefferson Township, PA.

Born October 26, 1934, in Lyndora, PA, she was the daughter of the late Metro and Mary (Skoncey) Wittik.

Dorothy was employed as a clerk for J.C. Murphy's, Butler, PA; and as a clerk for the Ben Franklin Store, Allegheny Township, PA. She was a 1952 graduate of Butler High School, Butler, PA; a member of Christ The King Parish, Gilpin Township, PA; and a member of the former St. Martha's Roman Catholic Church, Leechburg, PA. Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her husband, Steve.

Survivors include her husband, of 54 years, Stephen J. Pityk, of West Leechburg, PA; sister-in-law, Marie Lachowski, of Warren, OH; nephew, Ted Wittik (Sharon), of Cannonsburg, PA; nieces, Barbara Honeychuck (Bob), of Cannonsburg, PA, Diane Wittik, of Warren, OH, and Mary Catherine Wittik, of Imperial, PA; and sister-in-law, Marie Stopansky, of Apollo, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Michael, Andrew and John Wittik; sisters, Katherine Hunka, Ann Wittik and Helen L. Wittik; nephew, Andrew Wittik; and sister-in-law, Vivian Wittik.

Friends welcomed by her family on Thursday from 7-9 PM and on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724/842-1051) where a Vigil Service will be held on Friday at 8 PM. Parting prayers of transfer will be held on Saturday at 9:45 AM followed by a Christian funeral mass at 10:30 AM at Christ The King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Township, PA 15656, with the Rev. Monsignor Larry J. Kulick, JCL, officiating, and the Rev. Daniel L. Blout and the Rev. James H. Loew, O.S.B., as co-officiants. Interment following at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068.
