Carol N. (Biagioni) Best, 69, of Eastbrook Neshannock Falls Road, New Castle, died Sunday, May 21, 2017, at VNA Hospice in Butler.

She was born September 19, 1947 in Tarentum, PA, a daughter of Ufemio A. “Fem” Biagioni of Leechburg, and the late Rose M. (Gorelli) Biagioni.  She was married to Dennis J. Best on December 9, 1972; he survives in New Castle.

Carol was a flight attendant for American Airlines for a number of years.  She then worked as a receptionist for Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner James Barger.  Carol enjoyed hunting and fishing and appeared in videos for Leslie Sansone and taught spinning and aerobics.  She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by three children, Nadine O. Stevens and husband David, of West Palm Beach, FL, Dennis J. Best II and wife Alisa, of Mercer, PA, and Jolene C. Thompson and husband Mitchell of Delray Beach, FL; a sister, Karen Zimmerman and husband Tim of Leechburg, PA; five grandchildren, David Stevens, Lilly Stevens, Wyatt Best, Hunter Best and Gunnison Thompson.

Friends welcomed by her family on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 5-8 PM at William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., New Castle and on Friday, May 26, from 5-8 PM  at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).  Additional visitation will be held 10-11 AM, the time of services, on Saturday, May 27, at Forks Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 253 Forks Church Rd., Gilpin Twp. with Pastor Randy Crum officiating.  Interment following at Forks Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gilpin Twp.
