Bernice W. (Kendall) Ament, 86, of Allegheny Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at West Have Manor Personal Care Home in Washington Twp.

A daughter of the late Raymond F. Kendall and Mary Ellen (Jones) Kendall, she was born September 17, 1931, in Allegheny Twp., PA.

Bernice was a homemaker and 1949 graduate of Freeport High School.  She was a member of the Allegheny United Presbyterian Church in Allegheny Twp.  She liked reading, doing puzzles, refinishing cedar chests and taking care of the cows and cats on the farm.  Bernice enjoyed meeting her friends at McDonald’s daily for morning coffee.

Survivors include her brothers, Zahn L. Kendall of Allegheny Twp., PA, Robert G. Kendall of Greenville, PA, Toby D. Kendall (Carolyn) of Portland, TX; a sister, Judith Black (James) of Transfer, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earl M. Ament in January 2003;  brothers, Raymond F. “Jack” Kendall and Frederick O. “Bud” Kendall; sisters, Florence L. Kerr, Violet Rowe and Vera G. Kendall.

There will be no public visitation or ceremonies.  Interment will be held at Brookland Cemetery, White Cloud Road, Allegheny Twp. at the convenience of her family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).
