Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mildred E. (Austin) Chelko, of Parks Township; and two sons; Brian Chelko, of Parks Township, and Mark Chelko, of Parks Township.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael S. and Catherine (Kardos) Gallovich Chelko, Sr.; his brothers; Frank Chelko and Michael S. Chelko, Jr; and his half sisters; Helen Richards, Ann Kiral and Catherine Liska.
At the request of Mr. Chelko, there will be no public visitation or funeral ceremonies. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Evergreen Cemetery, Gilpin Township, PA. Arrangements by Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724/842-1051). At the request of the Chelko family, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
