Each funeral ceremony should be a warm and memorable reflection of the person who has died. It should be a celebration of a life lived. At Clawsons, our staff goes to great lengths to personalize each service with photographs, special music, dove releases or displaying items made by the deceased. If families tell us what made their loved ones life so special we will offer them ideas for personalizing the ceremony.
Cremation
Some individuals today are choosing to have their remains cremated. Cremation is a process whereby the human body is placed in a container called a retort and the body is reduced by intense heat to its skeletal fragments called cremains or cremated remains. These cremated remains are then processed into its finer elements for containerization. The cremated remains are typically placed in an urn and interred in a cemetery, entombed in a niche in a mausoleum, scattered over a special place or kept by the family or friend as a cherished possession.
